- The upgrade process for Oracle 9.2 and Oracle's new selective adoption process has a significant impact on an organization's teams that are already busy with their day jobs. Adding a complex and timely upgrade project only adds to the stress. In addition, the new selective adoption process will result in a fragmented user community as users will be on different versions and have adopted different functionality through selective adoption.
- The upgrade cost may seem manageable, but there are many hidden fees that most organizations don't take into account: maintenance, infrastructure, special projects and status quo opportunity costs. These hidden costs, which span multiple years, can more than double or triple the intial upgrade cost.
- PeopleSoft can't compare to a multi-tenant cloud applications in terms of the upgrade process, innovation, reliability, adaptability, efficiency and implementation cost. Remember, if you are struggling with your current system or just getting by, stubborn obedience is still disobedience.
