12 Days of Sage Intacct: Dashboarding and Reporting

Slide1-11

As a premier Sage Intacct partner, we wind down our year and celebrate how, for 20 years, they have brought us tidings and joy (and excellent finance and accounting tools). We gladly bring you … the 12 Days of Sage Intacct.

On the fourth day of Christmas, Sage Intacct gave to me: insights into finance and accounting data that allow me to run my business.

Sage Intacct has an excellent data model built on modern cloud architecture. As transactions are entered, they are automatically posted (if approved) in the general ledger. These exceptional reporting capabilities allow managers to view data in real time, helping them to make informed business decisions.

As a practice leader at CrossCountry, I rely on Sage Intacct to provide me insights into my business. I have access to summary-level dashboards that allow me to view financial results across timespans (monthly, quarterly, year-to-date, inception-to-date) and multiple key financial metrics (revenue, cost of revenue, expenses, and project margins). I can also drill down from summary dashboard reports to see the line item details to determine which projects are running on plan and which ones might need my attention.

Because I am also asked to manage my indirect costs, I have another dashboard that shows my actual expenses-to-date compared to my budget for marketing, sales, organizational development and conferences. This shows me if I am trending on or over budget, and has the functionality to help me see the individual transaction that may be driving me over. This real-time data presented in intuitive graphs and key performance indicators allow me to, at a glance, understand what is happening in my business.

Prior to Sage Intacct, I had to rely on Excel spreadsheets that did not contain enough data or the detailed transactions I needed to run my business.

Sage Intacct’s reporting tools offer far more than we can explain here. To learn more about Sage Intacct and sign up for their 30-minute Coffee Break Demo, click here. To learn more about CrossCountry’s Sage Intacct capabilities, please click here.
